The summer has finally passed us and new weather patterns can be felt in the mornings. The middle of the day is still similar but not quite as harsh. The winds are beginning to switch from south-southeast to north-northeast. Fast north currents and green blue hard edges abound. With them comes an abundance of bait and game. Mahi mahi begin to haunt the reef's edge out to say 400 feet. While your frozen/thawed gas station ballyhoo rigged on wire with a gaudy skirt will draw a few bites, they will not compare to live hoos pulled in a spread. If not live fresh never frozen hoos split billed, rigged to swim on 50 # mono short shank hooks and no skirts will nab you plenty of greenies. Bigger fish will be the norm as compared to the schoolies of summer. Watch for bait showers and frigate birds working in as shallow as 60#. Kite fishing will bring plenty to the table as well, plenty of sails will fall victem to goggle eyes this month out of the kite.Call now 954 522 4773 to reserve your adventure. Ask for Capt. Mike
