Fishing report for the week ending 10/11/09 With hot temperatures the snook have been easy to find but hard at times to bite, they are making there move from the beaches back to the bay and river areas. There is so much bait in the bay there are times when you wonder why fish would eat what you are fishing with. Find the bait and you will find the fish, snook- trout and spanish mackeral can all be found near schools of bait.I am seeing bigger seatrout showing up with mackeral, bluefish and a few pompano which should get better with some cooler weather. There are plenty of nice mangrove snapper near the passes and the river. Redfish are schooling up in Pine Island Sound and should get much better with cooler weather. October is a great month to fish!
