The first of the summer run of yellowfin turned up just in time for Christmas. By January, a few larger fish to 100lbs were being caught off the Coral Coast and by February the big Cow Yellowfin were showing here off Kadavu Island. The best yellowfin so far all weighing in around 175lbs.

With the summer tuna should come the big blue marlin. Expect blues to average 300Lbs with some much bigger fish to 800Lbs possible.

The summer GT Popping and jigging season fired up in January. Weather has been average thanks to La Nina weather patterns but on the calm days the GT bite has been good. The deepwater jigging has produced a huge variety of species in good sizes. Plenty of dogtooth tuna but no 100Lb monsters so far.
