Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/24/19
As is generally the case in late August you can see the heat start to affect the position of the fish on your Lowrance Electronics, the thermocline begins to hold the oxygen and the fish move to those deeper areas of the lake and suspend. This generally means we need some current to move the thermocline and some rain and cooler nights to move the fish. This will happen eventually, but it will take some time to turn the fish on to where we all would like.
Baits for this week were consistent with most of the summer, top water leading the way with Picasso buzz baits, Zara spooks and pop-r’s along with Tight-Line swim jigs rigged with Missile bait Shock Wave swim baits. We stayed around grass is less then 10 ft. of water most of the time.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you, no one works harder to make sure you have a great day on the water. With the fall approaching the frog bite will get turned on; the SPRO Frog on tournament is set for 10/5 and we’d love to help you get ready for the frog bite. We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Ranger Boats, Mercury motors, Boat Logix Mounts, Vicious Fishing, Navionics mapping, Power Pole, Duckett Fishing and more.
