Redfish have been found all week with the water level up on the Mosquito Lagoon flashing their bronze backs along with the larger mullet. Watch along the banks that are normally less than a foot deep as they are hanging with the mullet. Larger sand holes less than 10 yards from mangrove shore lines have been holding some pretty nice fish with several "tournament" fish caught going between 26 - 27 inches with healthy bellies on them. Tossing a live shrimp where the mullet are has done well. The shrimp are running kind of small right now so even putting two on a hook has been producing.

Bio: Growing up on the east coast of Florida I started fishing at a very early age mostly on the inshore waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Now with the experience of learning every corner of the back waters and fish behavior patterns, I am a full time fishing guide on the Mosquito Lagoon. Besides writing monthly fishing reports for my website, Coastal Angler Magazine, and various other organizations, I also enjoy working with and am on the pro staff for Rip Tide Lures, High Roller Lures, Berkley, Pure Fishing, Daiichi Hooks, and Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.
