Fishing Fort Lauderdale with Topshotfishing and Capt. Zsak

Chris and Beth Prangley, along with their four lovely children, Cayman age 11, Aiden age 10, Macy age 8 and Madelyn age 7, chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Winds were out of the east at 15 mph with blue skies and temperatures in the high 80's.

Cayman, like his father, is an avid fisherman and has been excited about this fishing charter trip for some time now. The family fish a lot in the Abacos Islands in the Bahamas.

Fifteen to twenty minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started off trolling with two plainers down and four surface baits. Cayman was our first angler, and he reeled in a Kingfish followed by Aiden who caught a Bonito. For Macy's and Madelyn's turn at fishing, we left the rods in the rod holder in the covering boards making it easier for them. All the children took turns reeling fish while their parents took pictures of the action. The total catch for this trip was one Mahi Mahi, one Kingfish, one Tuna, and five Bonitos. All edible fish were fillet out for their dinner.

With smiles on all their faces and an excellent catch by the children, it was time to head back from our deep sea fishing charter to the Bahia Mar Dock, located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. The anglers enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock in the a/c salon.
