We started out of Gvt. Cut and headed towards the south looking for working birds or something floating in the water to start on. We didn't have far to go as we hit 300' of water and birds were every place, we knew we had found some actively feeding Tuna. We started chunking over live Threads which in a matter of minutes we had the school of Tuna right on us. We immediately started hooking up and bringing fish into the boat. After getting 8 or so nice Tuna on the boat we decided to go in search of other species and went on the troll. After trolling less than 200 yards from the school of Tuna we had the first knockdown from a nice Dolphin wanting a freshly rigged ballyhoo. We continued Trolling and put a few more fish in the box before we had our first and only Sailfish decide to hook up. We continued with steady action for the rest of the day whether it be Dolphin, Tuna or a few mystery fish we never got to see. We returned to the dock with a nice catch of fish and happy clients. We stuck to methods that we have used in the Ft. Pierce area and went to a different area and still produced a great catch.
If you want to book a charter with Smokin EM Charters just give us a shout and we will be more than happy to book you on one of our boats either in Ft. Pierce or the Miami area.
