Fish Monger Weekend Report
Was gone out of town for the weekend so Capt Wayne was at the helm with mate Bruce sat and sun... Just got the pics and the run down from him.
Sat We had larry, keith, steve seneff and friends Amus, Paul and Isiah for a bottomfish fish trip. Wayne headed up to the bottom grounds... Lots of action but lots more shorts around now and tons going thrown back bewteen 12 in and the new 12 1/2 in min size. They bounced around on a bunch of drops with the same type action most of the day.
They wound up boxing 67 keeper sea bass,14 ling, and an eel. A winter flounder short cod and few blackfish were caught and released for another day.
Sun Had Joe Jigmafish,Bob Bates, Mopar Charlie, Dave and Jt along for a mixed bag trip... Started of the morning looking for some bunker and bass Just north of belmar...went 0-1 in the bunker pods...Headed up to some good structure... had 3 crash the baits had two on broke one and landed one... so for the stripers it was 1-4... Headed off and a few drifts for fluke... Got 3 keepers and shorts.... Anchored up on some bottom end up with aton of shorts and some keeper seabass and ling.
Wound up 1 keeper striper, 3 keeper fluke, 24 seabass, 11 ling and an eel to round out the mixed bag.
