Had Brian Talylor and Family from Buck Co Pa, out for a day of Fluking... This was a resched From a blowout 2 weeks ago... Perfect time for the trip as it was Jacks (Brians Father) 68th BIRTHDAY! Bob Hal and Chris rounded out the 5 man crew!
Started out Inshore a bit in some snaggly stuff as the wind was pretty strong and we had a fast drift... Boxed 2 Nice keepers and had some shorts right away... Redrifted around but no more for the box...
Wind died Down and we Bounced around some sandy hills a few miles out... Started of as a slow pick but eventually found a nice patch of fish... Worked around this area for the day... Tons Of action with some nice keepers mixed in... They would turn on a litlle then back off... the action was very good...
Had to weed thru tons of shorts but we Did get a 1 or 2 good ones most drifts... We caught most of the fish dragging big baits!
Then i look over and Brian Has something fighting like a Blackfish... When it comes up to the net... It is the Biggest seabass on the Monger to date...
The Humphead weighed in at 5lbs 12oz and 24in!!! NICE! Look at the pic next to a 18in fluke!
Congrats To the Birthday Boy Jack Putting a clinic on younger guys landing his Limit+ to 4 1/2 Lbs. Happy Birthday Jack!
