Inshore

We have been Catching Sea Trout, Snook, and Redfish. With Sea Trout being the main targeted species. We been catching them on free lined live white bait and sometimes shrimp. And artificial jigs in greens and rootbeer colors with a 1/8 oz. jig head. We have been catch and releasing the Sea Trout after catching our limit. Trying not to touch the fish or us a net to not to knock the slime off. This gives the Sea Trout a better chance for servival. We been catching Snook on large white bait, on the last of a incoming tide and the first of a out going tide, as long as there is good water movement. Snook season is closed so we are practicing catch and release (us Captain's call this job security) LOL after photos are take. And make sure the fish are revived in good shape to fight another day. The redfish we have been catching on live shrimp and artificial shrimps like the D.O.A. and or the Gulp shrimps in the natural and new penny colors. This Big Snook ate a white bait for the Mayor of Port Richey, Florida. And Capt. Tom with a Sea Trout as long as your arm.

Bio: Born and raised in Saint Petersburg Florida, he's fished these waters all of his life. That's over forty years on the gulf, in it's tributaries and it's estuaries. From the back country estuaries of Tarpon Springs and Anclote Island, south past Clearwater Beach, and Tampa Bay; clear down to Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande pass, he focuses on catching fish that unforgettable, lifetime, memories are made of. Pick the season right and catch giant tarpon, inshore slams of large snook, big bull redfish and seatrout after seatrout. When the water's right, he pursues large gulf grouper by hunting the nearshore rockpiles and reefs of the lower naturecoast. This specialty is only practiced successfully by native Florida Fishing Guides who truly understand the ebb and pulse of the gulf. Capt. Tom will be celebrating a decade on the water as a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain in 2007. His '06-'07 season is already booking up for the celebration; please don't hesitate in contacting us to reserve up-coming high season dates. Check out the photos page.
