This morning we started out with a father and son team Vic dad and his son Chris from Up State New York.

We started out trolling the reef working our way up to the north off the coast of Pompano Florida.

We had some great fishing on our way up we ended up catching a box full of king fish and bonitos and even managed to catch a nice black fin tuna.

Once we got up to the north we brought in all our trolling gear and sent a live bait down to the bottom on a ship wreck. I don't think the bait made it all the way down when BAM we were Hooked Up. Chris jumped in the chair and the fight was on.

After a 10 min fight up popped a nice amber jack. Well that was just too easy so we had to try it again. But this time as we dropped we got cut off by something with very sharp teeth.

Ok we thought we'd show him so on our next drop we used a wire leader with 2 hooks in the live bait.

What happen next we never expected but sure enough as soon as the bait got to the bottom we were Hooked Up. This time once we got the fish to the boat or should I say (fishes) we had caught 2 amber jacks at the same time.

What a great trip we ended up with total of 4 amberjacks and all the kings, Bonitos and one tuna.

Vic and Chris thanks again hope to fish you lucky guys again soon.

As we got back to the dock we had husband and wife Mike and Misha eager to give their luck a shot.

This time we went right to kite fishing with 4 live baits suspended from the kites. You've heard when it rains it pours? I've got to say that today was the right day to be fishing aboard the Hooked Up It seemed we could do no wrong today because by the end of our second trip today Mike and Misha had caught 3 monster black fin tunas and two that's right 2 big sailfish.

What a GREAT DAY OF FISHING!! To all of our anglers today thanks so much.

Today we had a shared charter with Peter from Seattle Washington and Barry from Jasonville Florida.

These guys were hoping on a couple more folks to split the cost but since we had no one else they each paid a little more than they were expecting to and we took a little less and off we went. I felt a little pressure I put on myself because these guys did pay a bit more and I wanted to do my best to try and keep them busy catching and not just fishing.

Having said that I knew the trolling the reef would be my best bet to put fish in the box.

We started out trolling the reef and things were going good we were catching king fish and bonitos pretty good. Before I knew it we had our limit of kings and more bonitos than we needed. I knew that Barry would like nothing more than to take home a dolphin or two for dinner so I decided to head out to deeper waters.

At first we had no bites off shore and I had heard of no one catching any dolphin fish. But just as I turned the boat to start heading back toward shore one of our rigger popped out the rod bent over and a nice dolphin was jumping behind the boat. GREAT this was just the fish that Barry wanted BUT someone and I'm not going to mention any names picked up the rod and jerked the rod hard to try to set the hook that was already set and the hook came flying back at the boat.

All you can do is have a good laugh and say O well that's fishing. (LOL)

Guys we really enjoyed having you guys out fishing with us and Barry next time well you know what I am trying to say (LOL)

Today we had Mark and Mike from South Carolina off for a bit off deep sea fishing aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Ft Lauderdale.

We started out picking up some live goggle eyes (live bait) from the bait boat and headed out. We did not have enough wind to fly our kites so we started out trolling hopping that later on the wind would pick up.

As it turned out trolling was producing some nice King Fish and bonitos. We were catching the kings and bonitos one after another but we still did not have enough wind to fly our kites.

Than all of a sudden we got a BIG bite and I thought it might be a small yellow fin tuna but after mark fought him for a good 10 min a big jack carvel popped up.

Dam those fish make you wonder what the heck it is on the other end. Don't get me wrong it is one hell of a good fight but you kind of get your hopes up thinking it might be a yellow fin and when you see what it is it is a bit of a disappointment to say the least.

I decided to spend a little time trolling off shore and while we never found schools of dolphin we did manage to catch one dolphin.

We ended the trip slow trolling our live baits and caught a couple more kings.

Mark and Mike thanks again.

Ok this was a little different. Today we had a group of guys that had never meat each other till today. As it turned out they all belong to a group that play some video game war game on line called X Box live and these guys all belonged to the same group based at of www.xboxtavo.com .

I think what they do is they play war games on the computer against others and I spoke to them a bit about it and they seem to spend at least 3 to 4 hours a night playing this game on X Box.

We had Dean from Weston AKA stage name (Smokozuna), Andy from Port St Lucie (Chowking), Jomar from Long Island NY (Lipinoy), Dave from Naples Florida (Aztigcdave) and Gary (AlMorenas)

We trolled the reef with two planners running about 45 feet deep and three surface lines skipping across the surface.

Fishing was not red hot but we did manage to catch everyone fish. We ended up with a box full of bonitos a couple of king fish and Dean got lucky and caught the only dolphin fish of the day.

Guys thanks again and I hope you guys have a good dinner and a great meeting tomorrow.

Today we had a shared charter starting with Jennifer from Philly, Daniel from South Dakota, Robert and Maddy from South Florida, Artie from Long Island New York and Davis from Gautier .

We knew we had 6 different people and all 6 were looking forward to catching fish so we went right to trolling the reef with 2 lines running deep on planners and three baits skipping across the surface.

Thank god the king fish and bonitos were biting. We ended up catching a box full of bonitos and king fish and Jennifer ended up being the luckiest one with a nice dolphin fish for dinner.

Thanks again to all our anglers today we had a ball fishing with you guys and gals.

As we got back to the dock we had our afternoon trip waiting and eager to give their luck a shot aboard the Hooked Up. We had Kristal, Richard, Sam, Stephen, Luis and Danny all from South Florida.

Once again we went right to the reef and once again we caught kingfish and bonitos and one dolphin fish. The song remains the same as this morning's trip only the names have changed.

Thanks again Guys.

Today Dan from Houston Texas brought out his daughter Kayla and her good friend Christine out for a few hours of deep sea fishing aboard the Hooked Up.

We started out trolling the reef catching a few bonitos and a nice dolphin. After everyone had caught some fish we brought in our trolling gear and set out both kites with live baits suspended from the kites.

All of a sudden here came this big sailfish all over one of our kite baits. J.J. locked up the reel the rod bent over line started peeling off the reel and we were Hooked Up. Kayla jumped in the chair and the fight was on. It was a back and forth tug a war for over 15 min but Kayla hung in there and at last she had her fish next to the boat.

We got a few quick pictures cut the line close to the hook and watched him swim away in good shape to fight another day.

Way to go Kayla.

Thanks again Guys had a ball fishing with you guys.
