Fort Lauderdale Fishing on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Mrs. Jevera Hennessey and Mrs. Celia Pinzi, from Connecticut, along with their husbands came down to Fort Lauderdale FL to enjoy our clear blue skies and sunshine. The husbands went off golfing, and the ladies decided that they wanted to charter the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team for a four hour deep sea fishing Fort Lauderdale FL trip. With two ladies being our anglers, Jackson, our mate, and I knew that women anglers are the best students in teaching them the art of fishing due to their patience and style.

Twenty minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in the waters at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale FL the sits in 120 ft. of water, which is the edge of the drop off. If you venture off another ½ a mile, your depth recorder would read 650-700 ft. With lady luck on our side, it did not take long before the action started. With two plainers down and four surface baits, our first encounter was a double header Kingfish on both of the plainer rods. I kept working the area over one of our 34 artificial wrecks in Fort Lauderdale FL ranging from 40 ft. wrecks to 350 ft. freighters. We kept moving from one wreck to the other, catching along the way more Kingfish ranging from 6 lbs to 18 lbs. Jevera and Celia kept taking their turns, back and forth, catching fish, winding up with a total of 14 Kingfish, 2 Barracudas and 4 Bonitos. For amateur anglers, this was a successful and thrilling fishing charter.

With time running out, it was time to head back to the dock at Bahia Mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
