Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/12/19
Water temperature in the shallow water like the back of the creeks has dropped into the mid 70’s putting us on notice that the fall feeding is close; here’s the problem the main river water temperature is in the low 80’s. This is a problem for a short time and then the bass will turn on like a light switch; as soon as this reverses the bass will move out of the grass and start feeding up for the winter.
This past week we caught lots of little fish and had some 3 lb. type bites, but the bigger fish are still buried in the grass or suspending off the deep drops. We fished mainly slow-moving baits like Missile bait “48” stick baits, or slow moving lightly weighted Tight-Line jigs when we did get some chasing, we fished Picasso buzz baits and Spinner baits around the grass areas. Fishing was good but the size was small.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you, no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. It’s fall break time, come get n the water with us and have some fishing fun! We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Ranger Boats, Boat Logix mounts, Duckett Fishing, Vicious Fishing, Mercury Motors, Navionics mapping, SPRO products and more.
