Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/9/19
As you wander through the springs every week becomes an adventure as the weather gives you a sense of uniqueness every time you get on the water. That weather change was once again the key factor this past week. It didn’t take much thought to realize that when your temperatures goes from the 60’s to the 20’s your going to experience some change everyday on the water. The week went something like this: the beginning of the week the bass were still active as the cold nights set in it toughened up until we turned to a warmer night and then it loosened up.
We fished mainly 4 to 10 ft. water looking for transition bottom areas that would hold fish through the cold nights. Areas that had some grass, shells or wood seemed to fit. Working about 4 different baits most of the time SPRO Aruka Shad rattle baits, Picasso Shock Blade chatter baits, Tight-Line Swim jigs and SPRO Little John XL square bills. You had to change presentation until one worked and stick with it and you would catch fish.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you, no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Ranger Boats, Boat Logix Mounts, Duckett Fishing, Vicious Fishing, Navionics mapping, Power Pole, Missile Baits and more.
