Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/15/19
June is on a tear and will go down for me as the best month in many years on Guntersville; catching is at an all time high and fishing is as fun as it gets. The novice fisherman is having fun and all abilities can catch fish; but you can’t do it from the couch! The bass are in 4 ft. to 20 ft. depending on the sun, but the one constant is grass; find the grass and you find the bass.
We haven’t done much to change what we are fishing with, Tight-Line swim jigs rigged with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits, Tight-Line 3/8 oz. jigs rigged with small trailers and big worms and some Zara Spook action early or late in the day over the top. The key is fishing being patient and covering areas slowly enough to get the fish to react.
