Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/22/19
With the BASS Elite Fisherman covering the lake this week, I believe it slowed the bite some as finding some of the repeating areas of the lake that have been producing seemed tougher. It’s also possible we have finally started to see a summer slow down from the heat but this next week will tell the tale for me. So, we will see; the fish were still off the drops, but the number of bites was down, we continued to fish 8 to 15 ft. around the grass.
The baits we used we stayed with Tight-Line jigs, swim jigs and Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits, also working the “48” stick bait and some big 10-inch worms off the drops. It is still very tough to use a top water bait other than a SPRO frog as the floating grass still is a pain on top of the water. Fish slow, target the bottom and you will catch fish.
Come fish with me, one great thing about the summer is the weather, the first few hours of the morning are as pretty-as-it-gets; a great time for some entertaining of your customer. Corporate trips and the timing are excellent right now. We have guides and days available to fish with you. We fish with great sponsor products, Lowrance Electronics, Ranger Boats, Mercury Motors, Boat Logix Mounts, Vicious Fishing, Navionics mapping, Duckett fishing Power Pole and more.
