Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/22/20
The first of the week to the last of the week was completely different for me; we caught them surprisingly good early in the week then struggled as we ended it. It appeared to me they were pulling more water early then backing it up as we ended the week totally changing the fish location and activity at least for the fish I was on. Its also becoming more obvious that the thermocline in building in 20 ft. depths pushing the fish to areas of oxygen off the bottom and changing their location, causing you to search more until they settle in.
We had some fun on top water this past week throwing Picasso buzz baits, spooks and pop-r’s we also stuck to our slow presentation with Missile Bait D-Bombs, 48 stick baits and worked Tight-Line Swim jigs off the edges of the grass lines; we mostly fished 8 to 12 ft. of water with some exception if the thermocline was not obvious in some deeper locations.
Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water.
