Taking advantage of the long holiday weekend I once again set out at 7 AM in my quest to find quality numbers of fish. With cloudy skies, no wind and temperatures in the mid 50's, I decided to fish the rock bluffs and dirty water closer to the bridge. After more than an hour of pitching a jig, crankin both a lipless and shallow running crankbait and throwing a spinnerbait with no success, I made the decision to hit the backs of some nearby coves. Another hour had pasted and I only managed to scrape up one very small Largemouth Bass. I than moved to a point which ran out to the edge of the river channel, were I decided to try my luck with a lipless crankbait. I quickly landed 3 Largemouth Bass, 2 of which were 15" and the third went 3 pounds. By this point the wind had picked up, so I decided to call it a day, ending at 11:30 AM. As always, take care when launching and running on the lake. All ramps, with the exception of Cedar Gap are still usable and the lake level continues to drop. Stillhouse Hollow is now at almost 17 feet low.
