Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/9/16
To clarify, I am not back fishing yet due to the recent surgery, so my reports are some second hand information and some look at what I would be doing if I was back on the water and physically able to fish.
As always is the case this time of year winter presents some problems to the weekend angler; bites are always tough and patience is always key. The folks who are finding fish are fishing the grass working several baits like rattle baits and swim baits around the grass edges. The key for me fishing rattle baits like the SPRO Aruka Shad is plenty of stop and go action to let the bait hang some in the grass so the erratic movement out of the grass triggers a bite. My love this time of year is the jig bite and dragging a Tight-Line football jig slowly through the grass is always a good presentation.
Patience is the key, let the bait do the work fish hard and you can have a good day on the lake; and for the record don't miss your bites there won't be enough of them to play make up.
Good fishing and good days are ahead, I have days and guides available to fish with you. No one will treat you better; we serve your fishing needs.
