Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/20/18
Unfortunately, the lake went through another week of extreme cold freezing over the back waters in many locations putting ice on the water around the lake. This picture depicts just the extend of the ice in my slew. Those of us that own fiber glass boats this stuff, ice, is not your friend as it will tear chunks of fiber glass out of bottom of your investment.
Having said that this is good for the lake and we should reap some benefits of shad kill and some severe thinning of the grass we hadn’t seen in several years. The weather will warm shortly, and I expect to be on the water by the middle of this next week looking to get back on the fish. The water is clear, and the bright sunny days will force us to slow down fish finesse type baits and find locations and groups of fish near around the ledges around the lake.
I still have dates available for the spring and expect that we will start to fill up during the next 30 days so don’t delay I have guides and days available to fish with you. Book your spring fishing days now; let us show you why Lake Guntersville is one of the best lakes in the country. No one will treat you better! We fish with great sponsor products, T&H Marine Products, Boat Logix mounts, Vicious Line, Duckett rods and reels and more.
