Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/17/15
With the lake once again packed with fisherman getting ready for the Oakley Big Bass tournament the lake has been extremely crowded and finding something away from the crowds was not easy. The bigger fish are still deep into the grass mats and the work and effort to get that trophy bite was definitely a grind. If you stuck with it and kept that SPRO frog in front of those fish the bite and size of the fish were pretty good.
Other baits that produced bites on a consistent bases for me were Tight-Line swim jigs, with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits, we also got bite on SPRO rock crawler crank baits; lastly and not to be forgotten especially if your fishing a little deeper is the Picasso Lure 1 oz. swim head was also productive in the deeper water. The key to the whole week has been the same story for several weeks now, don't miss your bites because the next opportunity to catch one may be several casts away.
Come fish with me, we still have some openings and with several guides and me we can fill most dates for you to fish. No one will treat you better; we fish with great sponsor baits, Lews Reels, Duckett rods and more.
