Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/7/17
There was a big lightbulb over the night sky this week as we approached and hit the full moon, it lite up the night sky over the lake and for sure hurt the day time fishing as the bass must have feed all night each day. We caught fish and had some good numbers but size was way down and the presentation to get those bites was really slow.
We fished our typical baits in 12 ft. of water as we have been doing for the past few weeks but the elements changed and our presentation had to be really slow to get a bite. We have also lost a lot of grass over the top of the water really changing the frog bite and slowing it down also. We still managed fish on a frog but the amount of areas we were catching them in changed. In our effort to slow down we continued our use of the Missile bait ‘48” stick bait but we also added a SPRO McRip jerk bait to our daily tools so we could let it rock over grass.
We are in search of our first frost this will really help the bass move and feed for the winter, I have days and guides available to fish with you; no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. Come fish with us we enjoy our customers. We fish with great sponsor products Lowrance Electronics, T&H Marine products, Ranger Boats, Power poles and more.
