Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/11/14
Not all days on the water this past week were created equal, some were great others were stingy and few were just OK. The up and down fall fishing continues, but the silver lining is the size is picking up and the chance of hanging a big fish in the 5 to 8 pound range has increased tremendously over the last week or so. It is also a fact that if you have the patience to frog fish some big fish can be caught; patience is a virtue here but if you're blessed with patience; then your chance of catching frog fish is picking up!
This past week I had several trips where we got into bunches of fish, your time limit was short but when you found them is was on for some period of time; the key was don't miss because it didn't last long. If we can continue to have the weather progress slowly toward winter conditions it ought to get better every day.
As has been the case most of the fall my fish are coming on SPRO Fat John 50 or 60 square bill crank baits. Tight-Line jig swim jigs with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits and a variety of top water lures. Come fish with me no one will treat you better; I have days and guides available to fish with you!
