Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/13/13
With the exception of one day when the day was over cast, the week was a struggle; if you didn't catch them in the first few hours then you struggled. The bass are just buried in the grass not feeding, if you found an active mat you could find some frog bites but it was not consistent enough for it to be a successful pattern. Hit and miss, some good, some tough some active time but nothing consistent.
We found some frog fish fishing the new SPRO Bronzeye Shad, but it was also hit and misses. The good news was these were midday bites and offered some hope on into the high sunny part of the day.
Most of the week we stayed with slow presentations, like Tight-Line jigs, worms, sinko's and Missile Bait D-Bombs. I hate to sound like a broken record, but we should see some improvement as we keep getting these cooler nights.
