Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/17/10
We have finally seen a great pickup in catching, size and schooling fish over this past week, the fall bite is on and I expect November to be the best fall month of the year. We have not seen much of a "rat" bite but I believe this up coming week will change that also. The monsters of Guntersville are on their feeding pattern as we get into late fall and move to winter.
The top water bite produced some monsters this week including a 9.5 lb hog caught by my partner in the late evening while fishing with some of our clients. Not only did we catch this 9.5 monster but we had probably 12 more fish between us caught over 6 lbs. this past week. It's on and this could be a November to remember, as the fall bite has come late but it's here and I expect it to last until the cold temperatures really set in near or as late as December. This will give us a good month of top-water, rat fishing, and chasing some schooling fish.
A great week for size, fair in numbers but the late day bite is much better as it should in the fall time of year.
