Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/18/14
As the weather goes so goes the fishing this past week, the high pressure days caused long faces and tough times, while the cloudy somewhat sunny days were as good as it gets during the fall. "You should have been here yesterday" cliché never was it as meaningful as the high pressure days were tough and the cloudy partly sunny days were great. This really played havoc as the weather changed from day to day this past week.
There is no doubt that the frog bites is showing signs of improvement, we didn't fish a SPRO frog every day but the results when we did were great. The old fashion rattle bait bite in the heart of fall fishing paid dividends off the grass areas, if you could keep it up out of the hang ups in the grass it was a very productive bite for some. As has been the case most of the fall for me the Tight-Line swim jig with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits continued to be my presentation of choice, it for sure produced some great trips!
We have reached some high 60 degree water temperatures this should push more and more fish to the backs of the creeks and produce some of the best fall fishing of the year. Come fish with me no one will treat you better; we work at making our customer fell special!
