Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 10/29/11
This past week of fishing showed some great signs of some really good fall fishing, the bass are spreading the lake as the water cools and fishing was pretty good most of the week. The one high pressure sunny day was a little slow but outside of that we had a pretty good week on the water.
The good news was that several patterns worked, we had the opportunity to catch fish in many different patterns and this should continue for some time as we see the fish migrate toward winter. We caught fish working the backside of the river channel with big Punisher Spinner baits and we caught fish with frogs around grass and cover. We found them on the river channel on square bill crank baits and we caught them on Tight-Line Jigs off of grassy points.
As the fall transitions we should see a real feeding frenzy and it should be a blast as the bass are about to get to the stage where they compete for baits as the fall moves on! There are some real good fall days ahead before the bass head deep and migrate out for the winter!
