Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/16/08
Cold, rain, wind constant temperature change really didn't effect the past weeks catches. Fishing was excellent with good size tournament fish all week, and solid numbers of 15 to 25 bass per outing. With customers from all over the Southeast the lake held up for the most part and my clients had a great week on Guntersville. The bass weren't everywhere but when you found them you caught several in a row before you would go searching again.
I spent most of the week in the mid part of the lake working 9 to 14 feet depths and found active bass in several spots. The back end of the creeks produced the biggest fish for me as the big bass are feeding and getting ready for the winter slow down. The females are getting nice and fat and are getting ready for the winter. A key for me this past week was getting away from the grass and into some deeper stumps, when I found this pattern I found bigger fish.
Fishing is good, there is more to come and the winter big bite is right around the corner. Working 15 feet of water with Tight-Line Jigs is nearly here and catching big fish will come with it! Come fish with me, I have days available to fish with you all through November and the rest of the winter!
