Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/22/15
I believe Guntersville has finally broke out of the struggling days we have seen this fall; it appears the fall bite is finally on! Some of the natural keys we have been use too every fall are finally occurring as bait fish are being chased throughout the lake, and the water movement from the wind is turning the feeding on as it should in the fall. I guess it just took grass erosion and wind to break up the grass mats enough to push the bass into their fall feeding.
There has also been a big sign of some great fishing as search baits are finally the key to fishing and catching as we caught fish on several search type baits that were rendered useless most of the fall. SPRO Aruka Shad rattle baits, SPRO Fat John 50 and 60 square bill crank baits coupled with Tight-Line swim jigs with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits all caught fish for me this past week. I believe I probably could have approached some of the chasing with top water baits and also caught fish, but I did not.
Fall is upon us, you best get on the water before it turns to winter fishing, this will change quickly when we see some consistent cold temperatures dropping the water temps into the low 50's or less. Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great time on the water; I have days and guides available to fish with you. We are now booking for the 2016 calendar year. Call me fishermen!
