Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/26/09
This past week on Guntersville produced a couple of strong days, a few tough days and a little in-between. It was like spinning a wheel and taking a chance that you might catch the big prize or have the great day! The fish moved every day, produced a different pattern and bite only when they wanted to!
I fished all sections of the lake from mid river to above the BB Comer Bridge and even worked the lower end one day. The better bite for me came up river, the top water bite was definitely better up river and the fish seemed to be more active most of the time. We caught fish on different types of top water baits, SWL buzz-baits, hollow body rats or frogs, buzz frogs all caught fish.
The grass is starting to rot away and produce holes and the bait is moving into the open holes. This is starting to produce a flipping bite on Tight-Line jigs and Paca-Craws; so if you like to flip the edges it's time to find a great bite on this pattern.
We are supposed to cool down some, if this occurs the fishing should pick up considerable all over the lake!
Come fish with me the fall is a great time and the fishing is always fun.
