Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/14/10
This past week on the water showed some great
signs of some of the best fall fishing of the year. We had a couple of great days, but most were pretty productive with good numbers and fairly good size. Don't get me wrong; it still took some searching and work to develop a pattern but once you did it was a lot of fun. The key for me was the water temperature, the water temperature is dropping and understanding what to do in mid to upper 50 degree water was the key!
It's also very noticeable that the grass is thinning and dying back, and this allows you to do a lot of different things when fishing around the grass. We did everything from, throwing a frog to, flipping the holes in the grass. We also got away from the grass and worked patterns where the grass was gone and caught fish and good fish away from the grassy areas on the lake.
We are close to winter patterns and we should be seeing the bigger fish starting to show back up in our daily catches. Winter can be a great time for that big Guntersville hog to offer up a lot of fun. Come fish with me, it's a great time of year!
