Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/17/12
We may be showing signs of turning the corner as this week produced some easy bites; and that has not been the case since early October. I think we may have a window of a few weeks where the fish have pulled out of the heavy grass and moved to the shallows for a late fall bite. I believe the consistent cold nights have helped not only move the fish but eliminate some grass for them to stay in!
This week we caught fish in 3 feet of water and that is a first for this fall at least for me. We fished rattle baits, square bill crank baits and pulled chatter baits around the banks and found many easy bites. We also fished Tight-Line jigs looking for the bigger bite and worked A-rigs under the thick bait.
Looks like we might have a late fall run and you might want to get part of it by getting your boat back to the water. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you!
