Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/29/08
Early winter fishing this past week remained strong, as comparisons go, it is as good as I have seen it in the early winter so far this year. Past winters the early part has been questionable but not this year, it's as good as I have seen and you're missing some great fishing if you're not out there on the water.
I spent the past week above BB Comer Bridge fishing grass and break lines, ledges, points and the deepest end of the creeks. Crank baits, jerk baits, Tight-Line Jigs, rattle baits and Mister Twister Comida's have all produced bites. You have to work your baits with patience cover ground until you get a bite and work that productive area thoroughly as the fish have schooled up. The water temperature is much warmer in the main channel area, this suggests that you need to work the main channel areas early and move to the creeks about 11am especially if the sun is out.
Fishing is great and getting better, Guntersville will again produce some great winter fishing! I have days available to fish with you!
