Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/8/09
Some November rewards this past week; it's the time of year that the big females are moving extremely shallow and patience paid off with top water. The old hollow body rat saved the day each day on the water. Numbers were tough unless you were chasing schooling fish but quality was there. Some big females up to almost 9 lbs. were put in the boat, along with some big smiles and chest pounding fun!
If I had to describe the week in one word, I would say "monsters," some of the biggest fish I have seen this fall and certainly some of the best fun.
I also was blessed to spend one day small mouth fishing on Tim's Ford with the Director of sales from Secret Weapon Lures and had some fun hanging some "Smallies."
Most of the week, I spent on the upper part of the lake, above Goose Pond looking for some of those key areas I like as the big bass move into the November preparation for the spring spawn. As November seems to always produce some big fish so far we seem to be in a similar November pattern. I have beliefs about fishing this time of year that makes November always a month to remember. It just takes a little patience and time and some methodically fishing to make a dream come true. "A November to Remember." You see fishing can be dram day this time of year you just have to go do it!
