Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/19/14
The extreme cold made it hard to really judge the fishing this past week; we are seeing cold temperatures we have not seen in many years making your time on the water tough to enjoy. The bite has been up and down with the warming of the day being better than the early part, but still not easy to enjoy.
We are working several baits with mixed results, Tight-Line football jigs with Missile Bait D-Bomb trailers in Guntersville special color and black and blue D-Bombs as trailers. We have also been fishing SPRO Mcrip jerk baits along rocky bluffs and some good results. We are continuing to fish Missile Bait D-Bombs Texas rigged with 3/8 oz weights and getting some good results. Those of you getting ready to fish the rattle trap tournament there is a good rattle bait bite, it is just not everywhere but there is a good amount of fish moving to the flats to feed.
Fishing is typical winter but that to shall end and it won't be long when we will be wishing the weather would turn cool again. Come fish with me know one will treat you better there are many great times ahead and I have licensed guides available to fish with you. We fish with Duckett rods, Lew's Reels and Vicious Line.
