Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/11/16
With 2016 almost in our rear view mirror, Guntersville is giving up some good catches as of late and looking forward into 2017 has been as positive for me as I can remember. The numbers of small fish and solid 3 pound type fish seem to be building and I believe with some normal winter weather we could be looking at a great spring and year.
This past week, at least before the extreme cold settled in the numbers were good and the size range in that magic 3 pound range were strong and maybe the best of the year. It didn't really take a lot if searching to find the bites you just had to find your best moving bait and from there it was easy. The baits seemed to work regardless of which of many you fished. SPRO Aruka Shad rattle baits, SPRO Little john XL crank baits, Missile bait swim baits, Picasso chatter baits all seemed to draw bites as long as you were around the shad. The key was just being out and fishing where the fish are.
With Christmas almost here a gift certificate for your avid fisherman to get on the water with me would make a great way to start off the year for your loved one. We are booking for 2017 the year is looking positive and there are many great days ahead. Come fish with me no one will treat you better. We have guides and days available to fish with you. Customer corporate trips, we got you covered.
