Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/20/13
This past week we were met with some of the nastiest weather of the winter; we had howling winds out of the north west, cold temperatures, rain and snow not counting flooding conditions throughout the area. Needless to say just being on the water was a chore, with the dams pulling tremendous amounts of water the current was dangerous and getting a bait to hold on the bottom nearly impossible.
I managed to test these awful conditions just one time, and I have to admit it was not much fun! We fished mainly Tight-Line jigs off road beds, old bridges and boat houses most of the time on the water. We also slow rolled Punisher Spinner baits along the drops as well as pulling chatter baits over the road beds and grass.
We should see some much better weather this week, at least if the weatherman is correct, with that should come much better conditions and fishing should get back to normal winter type conditions. Come fish with me I have days available to fish with you, no one will treat you better!
