Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/21/12
The fishing has remained strong on Guntersville all through the late fall and early winter and this past week was no exception. The bass are still very active, they are hitting a variety of baits with daily catches of 30 or more fish in just a few hours. It has been an exceptional winter with just some few exceptions.
The baits range from the A-Rig to traps, crank baits and jerk baits and if it seems slow turning to a jig or worm has been successful on those seemingly slower days. I personal believe it's just a matter of where you might be at the time they turn on and then what ever you are fishing catches fish. We fished this week from the extreme south end of the lake to Crow Creek and caught fish in every area.
Fishing is great, look for the warming of February to even get better, come fish with me I have day's available, and guides available that can put you on fish! This great winter fishing is setting up the spring time to be one of the best springs in many years!
