Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/17/11
This past week on Guntersville was absolutely a blast, the water temperature is in the 50's and the bass are chasing and feeding all over the lake. I spent just about every day on the water and all were productive and fun. The bass are ganging up on the creeks, using them for highways to feed on the massive schools of bait and catching is great!
The bass are active the crappie are biting and the lake is relatively full of fisherman for this time of year. I've watched fisherman from the bank loading their buckets with crappie and bass fisherman catching from their boats all around the lake. This could go down as one of the best Decembers in a long time.
Baits are pretty simple I am using 4 different baits; I am catching them on Alabama rigs, big Punisher 1 oz spinner baits and jerk baits and worms. The key is bait fish, a little water current or wind and we are catching fish.
