Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/20/14
With Christmas near the lake is somewhat empty of fisherman but those that put some time in on the water were rewarded with some pretty good times and good fishing on Guntersville.
Some of the best news moving forward is the pure fact that we are about to pass the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice is here and from today on the days will progressively get longer and it never fails the fishing gets better every day. I can look back at my notes for many years and can without a doubt see the improvement as we progress toward spring.
Our choice of baits this past week were pretty simple we cranked SPRO crank baits, and fished Tight-Line football jigs with Missile Bait D bombs as trailers pretty much the entire time on the water. The jig bite produced the bigger fish and the crank bait found the numbers.
