Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 12/7/13
Although I spent several days on the water this past week I did not actually fish much as most of my time was spent riding, scanning and describing the lake to some of the Elite BASS qualifying pro's who have the month of December to fish the lake. We wet a hook very little but when we did size appeared to be up and the numbers appear to be down.
The bite will really turn to winter conditions going forward, so down-sizing and slow presentations are will be and was our presentation of choice. We fished mainly Tight-Line jigs with Missile Bait D-Bombs and slow rolled Punisher Spinner Baits over the grass edges.
We are approaching the shortest day of the year over the next couple of weeks and when that occurs the bass will make moves during the heating part of the days to the flats and scattered grass to feed. Fishing will improve drastically as we progress.
I am booking for the 2014 year; it appears to be a busy year coming up with the Classic coming and the economy improving. Come fish me I have guides and days available to fish with you. No one will treat you better.
