Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/28/12
Fishing this past week took a turn for the worse, with the heavy rain, high water and muddy water we struggled to put fish in the boat. Generally when there is a lot of rain there are mud lines that you can find active fish on, but that was not the case this past week. The muddy water was thick and the mud lines either parallel to the bottom or along the edges just did not exist.
I guess you could say after having so many great winter days this year that some tough fishing days was to be expected. We fished several areas of the lake from the lower end north and at least for me we could not put a pattern together. The good news being that the bait still appears to be heavy and as soon as we get the water levels down to normal and some clearing we should get back to some strong fishing. The bad news is it is still raining so it might take awhile to get the lake back down and the muddy water cleared out.
The spring fishing is coming quickly, it should be a strong spring and there should be some great days ahead!
