Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 1/5/13
With us still being in the middle of the holidays this past week, I have yet to get back to my normal fishing schedule; I did however spend a little bit of time on the water on Thursday and Friday with mixed results. The cold north wind along with muddy water made for tough fishing conditions and few bites to talk about.
The good news is that the days are getting longer we are seeing more daylight every day and the pre-spawn is just around the corner. I fished mostly off deep points with A-rigs and jerk baits and Tight-Line jigs and working them extremely slow to try and just put a bait right on the head of the fish to get a bite.
I should get back on the water with more regularity going forward especially after the Huntsville Boat show coming up in a few weeks. Winter fishing is what it is some days good some not so; improvements will come in large chunks as we move to spring!
