Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2-11-17
After the FLW left the lake for their next stop, it appears to me that the numbers of fish in the 4 to 6 lb. range is probably down and it will take some time to get us back where we were with solid fish in that range over time. I am encouraged as I have stated before about the numbers of small fish and hopefully this will help us going forward.
The lake is still fishing pretty good for this time of year with the water temperature in the low 50's the bites seem pretty consistent for this time in mid-February. Missing is a no-no and will cost you but if you work at it keep your bait wet you have a chance every day to have some fun. You just can't judge a great day the way we use too, but its fishing and it's always fun.
I spent most of last week fishing three different baits, Picasso chatter baits, SPRO Aruka shad, and Missile bait "The 48" stick bait. We mainly stayed in 4 to 9 ft. water looking for grass and structure. I believe the fish are doing some staging as we approach March and should see them spawn early in March.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work hard to see you have a great day on the water. I have days and guides available to fish with you. If you're looking for a way to entertain some corporate customers; fishing is a great way to get them together and have some fun. We fish with the best sponsor products; Lowrance Electronics, Navionics charts, Vicious Line, Duckett fishing products and more.
