Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/6/16
As I move forward in my recovery I am trying and start my journey back from my surgery and get back on the water fishing. This past week I started that process as I spent a couple of hours on the water just kind of hanging out and trying to see if I could tolerate the boat or will it make my dizziness worse . It wasn't easy but I did ok so more to come; little steps and hope for the best and slowly try to overcome the surgery!
As winter goes so goes the fishing, if it's cold and nasty it's tougher than a little warmer days and warmer water. We are headed to another week of cold 20 degree nights so that will add to the toughness until we stabilize again; fishing is just OK with typical winter patterns if you find a few bites you're doing good if not you have a long day. The game changer is that the days are getting longer that will warm the water during the sunny days and add some activity to the bass.
To me it's still about rattle baits, chatter baits and jerk baits and during the colder days a football jig; these baits will produce during the day at some point. Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water. I have days and guides available to fish with you! We are booking for the 2016 year we can meet your fishing dates!
