Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/23/14
This past week started out with some really tough conditions getting a bite was tough; but as the week moved on the numbers and activity picked up and made for some really good times. The biggest change was the water temperature moved from 42 degrees early in the week to some shallow water areas around 58 degrees! This of course was surface temperature there is still a big difference in the 12 foot depth and beyond and that will take some time to warm up.
My customers moved from fishing SPRO Aruka Shads to SPRO Little John 60's a square bill with an enormous amount of movement. We caught fish ripping that bait out of the low lying remaining grass. As the days transitioned from morning to after noon the warming caused another change as the buck bass moved in to the shallows and the Missile Bait D-Bomb was really successful for me.
Fishing will be up and down as we constantly get
a lot of weather change this time of year, but improvement everyday will certainly show. Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you; no one will treat you better. We still have 5 days available in the month of February for you to fish with me or one of my guides and get your name put in the hat for a drawing on a new Duckett Rod.
