Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/2/14
The week started with iced over bays and water temperatures in the mid to low 30's not your ideal conditions for the avid bass fisherman. By Saturday the ice was mainly gone and water temperatures were a whopping 38 to 39 degrees; no it wasn't a heat-wave of sorts but it did pick up a little for the fisherman who adjusted.
The shad kill was big and still going on, so the fisherman who found some fish and kept throwing at them with different presentations found a few bites and had some fun. The A-rig seemed to be back in play some off the 14 to 16 foot drops not a lot of fish but some decent size. A good day this past week was 8 to 10 fish, not what we are use to on Guntersville.
All will return to normal shortly with the rattle bait bite being the bait of choice, we just can't hold these abnormal cold temperatures for much longer after all this is the deep south; I think! Come fish with me I have guides and days available to fish with you.
I am offering trips during the Classic for those who would like to follow the Pros, we will have guides available for 4, 6, and 8 hours following the best fisherman in the world. Come ride with us and get a lesson from observing the best of the best!
