Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/2/13
There is no doubt that fishing is improving every week on the water, the signs of pre-spawn fishing continues to show signs of more movement to the shallows every day. This week we had some of the best fishing of the year despite the high muddy water! If you have been on the water I'm sure you will agree. It is also typical of a winter time bite as not all days were created equal but improvement has been very visible.
We spent most the week, working Spro rattle baits, the bass seem to be holding at the turns and changes along grass lines and road beds. We also found fish buried along the rip-rap especially as the water was going up in elevation. Tight-Line jigs and Missile baits D-Bombs were very successful along these areas. The change seemed to be in depth as some times the bass were shallow then others times they were out in 15 ft. of water.
Fishing is good, book your trip now before it becomes too hot and too much grass to enjoy the rattle bait bite.
