Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 2/5/11
This past week on the water was nearly a bust; my customers either made it to the ramp or chickened out because of the cold and biting north wind and cold temperatures. I had one couple last about 3 hours; the temperature was actually warmer at 7am than it was at noon so we put the boat up and called it a day.
It appears we are on for another long February as it was last year with bone chilling cold weather; so much for global warming. The few hours we did get on the water over the period of the week, the best we could muster up was just a few bites and few small fish. We never were able to stay on the water long enough to establish a pattern or get to the warming part of the day.
It's a new week starting tomorrow, the weather man is calling for south winds and 50 degree temperatures, my confidence level that the warming will occur is not very high but let's see what happens. My schedule for the spring is not full so if you want to schedule a day call now before it books up!
