Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 3/13/16
Fishing on Guntersville is taking on a busy look, it's covered up with tournaments and boat after boat on every bank, point, creek and more, and it makes a day on the water a real challenge. "God forbid," you should catch a fish, or maybe worse you catch two in the same spot there will be a killing to run you over and fish the same spot you just caught those fish. I suggest you bring a hard hat, flak jacket and good general protection in case you have a good day; as you will need it to fight off the folks who will attack your spot.
It is for sure a busy place and with the early warm weather it's made it tough to even put you boat in and get a parking spot. If you were one of the many that accomplished this you found the fishing still tough as the warm water has not really turned the fish on yet; its close I suspect a week or so away but in the meantime most days are a struggle. My bait selection is led by SPRO Aruka Shad rattle baits, Missile bait D-Bombs and Tight-Line football jigs dragging them along the bottom. You just have to fish hard, limit your misses and be persistent to have a good day; it's possible as folks prove it every day.
Come fish with me no one will treat you better or work harder to see you have a great day on the water!
